Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in the initial consultation?
In the initial consultation, we will discuss your concerns and reasons for seeking therapy. This usually involves asking questions about your background and understanding your needs, as well as what you would like to achieve in therapy. It is also an opportunity to see if I am the right psychologist for you, to ask any questions and voice particular concerns. You are under no obligation to commit to working with me after the first meeting if you feel that I am not right for you.
How many sessions do I need?
If you decide to pursue therapy, a session usually takes place once a week but no fixed number of sessions is required. It depends on your personal needs and circumstances and what you want out of therapy. This can be discussed and negotiated with me in the initial meeting and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Sometimes it is useful for someone to hear my voice to form a first impression. Otherwise you can always drop me an email!
